Every minute 12 children die from starvation. Kids Around the World is part of the solution to world hunger. We partner with organizations all over the United States and package meals that contain all the nutritional requirements undernourished children need for physical and mental development.

One food package contains 6 servings. Each package is prepared in less than 20 minutes by adding it to boiling water. One box contains 36 packages and feeds 216 children. One pallet contains 66 boxes with 2,376 packages and feeds 14,256 children!

The food is a rice and soy mix fortified with 21 vitamins and minerals, 6 dehydrated vegetables and chicken flavoring. This soy (52% protein) and nutrient rich formula reverses the starvation process and its effects.

Volunteers
All of our meals are packaged by individuals and volunteers from churches, businesses, families, and youth groups. The meals are packaged at a host location or at our warehouse in Rockford, IL. The distribution of the food is done through local partners who ensure the children receive the meals. Many times we combine our food shipments with our playgrounds enabling the children to receive both a playground and food!

How you can help
Host a packing event. Your group or organization can partner with Kids Around the World in our mission to help feed children all over the globe. With the capabilities to go mobile, we can bring the food packing event to you. All you have to bring is volunteers! We do ask that the partner commits to raising the funds to pay for the meals packed at the event. Each meal costs 25 cents, which covers everything from raw ingredients to the shipping of the container. Depending on the amount of meals packed, Kids Around the World gives you the opportunity to pack meals for a group or country of your choice. Food packing events are a great, hands-on way to get people directly involved in the process of feeding starving children all over the world.

Make a donation. You can make a one-time donation to our Food Program and help make a difference in a child's life. Your donation will go towards helping provide food for starving children all over the world. Donations make it possible for us to order more supplies and cover the costs of shipping food worldwide. All donations are tax deductible. With the cost of each meal being 25 cents, your donation can go a long way.
