Seven team members, 10 days, 2 flannelgraph trainings, 305 teachers trained, 9 trainers trained, 7 outreach opportunities, 300+ children touched with the love of God! These are the numbers, but they can’t begin to convey the way that God blessed the team and all they came in contact with during the recent project in the Dominican Republic.
Itwas particularly exciting to re-visit the sites of a couple playground builds and see how they are being used. For instance, at the malnutrition clinic, children are now “prescribed” time on the playground equipment to help re-build their muscles and increase their physical skills.
We also had the pleasure of working with a new partner – Compassion International. We trained around 180 of their workers; showing them how to use the flannelgraph with their new curriculum. We are excited at this opportunity to work with another organization which shares our heart for reaching children!
