STAGE 1: PACKED WITH A PURPOSE
IT ALL STARTS WITH A BOX
Each sealed box holds 36 bags—that’s 216 meals packed with love and nutrition! When 60 of these boxes come together on a single pallet, they become 14,256 opportunities for children to thrive. Once the meals are packed and the boxes are stacked, the pallets are loaded onto trucks and sent to the nearest Kids Around the World facility.
STAGE 2: READY FOR THE ROAD
On the Move: From Local Hands to Global Hearts
When 19 pallets (270,864 meals!) stand ready, we load them into a 40-foot container. By truck and rail, these meals begin their journey to the nearest port, where they’ll board a cargo ship destined for our global communities where they are needed most. Each container carries not just food, but the tangible love of thousands of volunteers like you.
STAGE 3: CROSSING OCEANS
A JOURNEY ACROSS THE GLOBE
These meals travel aboard massive cargo ships for 3 to 6 weeks, whether bound for Africa, South America, Asia, or anywhere in between. Upon arrival, our dedicated in-country teams and trusted partners navigate customs clearance, ensuring nothing stands between these meals and the children who need them.
STAGE 4: FINAL MILE, LASTING IMPACT
HOPE DELIVERED: FROM PORT TO PLATE
All cleared and ready for the final stretch! Local partners transport these precious meals to schools, orphanages, churches, feeding centers, and homes—places where food insecurity is a daily reality. Though the journey takes 60 to 90 days from your packing event to a child’s hands, the impact reaches far beyond physical nourishment. These meals open doors to community transformation as they bring families and communities together around the table.
