KIDStory helps children encounter God and grow in faith through interactive, relational storytelling. In welcoming, loving environments called StoryClubs, children explore God’s Word, share their thoughts and experiences, and discover how they can become active participants in His story.
KIDStory equips local leaders through interactive workshops that prepare them to bring this approach to children in their own communities.

A Different Kind of Training
A KIDStory workshop is unlike a typical seminar. Through group interaction, experiential learning, storytelling and fun, leaders experience firsthand the approach they will use to disciple children.
At the heart of KIDStory is a simple but powerful shift: from teaching children what to know to creating space for them to discover who God is and how He is at work in their heart and lives.
Rather than simply testing children’s knowledge of Bible stories, KIDStory uses three types of questions – Head, Heart, and Hand – to help children understand God’s Word, connect with it personally, and respond in meaningful ways.

HEAD: What Do You Discover?
Head Questions help children explore the Bible story and understand what happened. While knowing Scripture is important, knowledge alone is not the goal. We want children to do more than remember Bible facts; we want them to grow in a living relationship with Jesus.
HEART: How Does It Connect to You?
Heart Questions invite children to step into the story. What might they have seen, heard, or felt? How might they have responded? What in their own lives connects with what they have discovered?
These open-ended questions invite children to think deeply, express their feelings, and share their experiences. Instead of simply observing a Bible story from a distance, children begin to see themselves within God’s grand story.
For example, a leader might ask:
- How would you have felt if … ?
- What do you think it would have been like if … ?
- How might you have responded if … ?
Questions like these bring the story to life, helping children connect its experiences and emotions with their own.
HAND: How Will You Respond?
Hand Questions help children consider how they can live out what they have discovered. Rather than prescribing the same response for everyone, these questions give children space to reflect, listen for God’s leading, and consider their next steps of faith.
Questions might include:
- What is stirring in your heart because of today’s story?
- Is there something you want to do differently because of what you learned?
- What might God be inviting you to do today?
This is where learning becomes action. Children begin to recognize how their faith shapes their choices, relationships, and everyday lives.

- Head helps children understand.Â
- Heart invites them to connect.Â
- Hand encourages them to respond.Â
Together, these questions create space for children to engage with God’s Word and grow in a faith that is personal and lived out.
