My children and I had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer with Kids Around the World to help build a playground in a small town in Mexico. Serving others with my children was a fulfilling experience filled with joy, hope, and love.

Our mission is to share God’s transforming hope with kids and their communities. Through our FOOD, PLAY, STORY approach, with partners in the US and across the globe we are helping children thrive by providing physical nourishment, the joy of play, and hope found in Christ through the sharing of His Word.
Our Approach
With dedicated groups and teams, meals are packed for kids and communities facing hunger and malnutrition, providing daily nutrition they need to thrive.
Alongside passionate volunteers, upcycled playgrounds are being built for kids living in difficult circumstances, bringing joy and laughter to kids across the globe.
In partnership with pastors and leaders, stories from the Bible are being shared the way Jesus taught to help kids find hope in Christ.

In Our Hope Zone Communities
Kids Around the World has local teams in Ecuador, Uganda & Dominican Republic creating environments we call Hope Zones. In our Hope Zone communities, we partner with the local church or leaders through FOOD, PLAY, & STORY to bring help and hope to kids and families, and ultimately to see whole communities transformed through God’s love.

I felt exceptionally safe and was comfortable with the environment that I was placed in for the duration of the trip. The KIDS team leader made sure we had safe drinking water available at all times.
The reward at the end of each trip is seeing the joy on the kids’ faces as they try out their new playground for the first time and knowing that I was able to add a small piece of enjoyment to that child, their family, and their community!
Partnering with KATW has empowered Ranch Church to extend our help beyond the local community. Everyone enjoys serve day, where we pack meals, because it’s fun, easy, and we know we are directly feeding those in need!

A children’s playground fosters community, provides a safe space for physical activity, and supports social and spiritual growth. It helps kids build friendships, practice teamwork, and learn biblical values through play. The New Light Foundation partnered with KATW to build the first-ever playground in this village destroyed by the 2004 Tsunami. Seeing children enjoy this space is pure joy. Several now attend church with their caregivers.
