A team of business partners from Xymogen and their sales team traveled to the Dominican Republic with Kids Around the World to build a playground at the all-girls campus of an orphanage in La Romana. The nearly 40 girls that call the orphanage their home were thrilled to have a playground built on the grounds. One team member, in particular, made a personal mission while on this project, he aimed to learn and address all 40 girls by their names. He accomplished this seemingly minor task before the trip was over. As the team was leaving the director of the orphanage shared that the girls were thrilled to have their names remembered as it made them feel seen and known. It is something we all yearn for… all over the world… young and old that can be accomplished in a simple way as such.
