City of Joy is a Christian school and Church. The school has about 200 elementary school children. In this remote part of Rwanda, it is fantastic these children have a chance to get a quality Christian education. This playground allows the children of the school to play like they have never played before. The other opportunity this playground creates is the outreach to the community. After the playground dedication, our partner and team leader headed back to the playground to check to see how everything was. When they arrived, there were about 10 kids staring at the playground through the fence. They welcomed the children to come in and play…all they had to do was head around to the gate. By the time the 10 made it to the gate their numbers had increased to 25. Upon entering the field their numbers had doubled again. By the time the kids got to the playground, there were about 75 kids from the community playing like they have never played before.
