The best part of this playground story is the attitude of the partner church, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Their playground arrived January 9th in Haiti but was not released from customs until April 7th. The church mission team arrived at Emmanuel Children’s Village in Jeremie the last week of February, eager to install a playground that was never released. The same team of men flew to Haiti for a second time in May to see this project thru to completion. The team employed some of the boys who graduated out of the orphanage and school program to help ensure the playground would get done in time. Kids Around the World is blessed to partner with great churches. The attitude of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church made all the difference in this project. This church from Tennesse sponsors ALL 76 children living in this orphanage. There were very excited to play on their new playground!
