It was great seeing the City First Church of Rockford reach out the Prairie Hill School district, providing about 60 volunteers for the two-day assembly of the playground. The volunteers did a great job interacting and getting to know each other during this build.  The volunteers were a mix of Kids Around the World staff, business representatives, firemen, policemen, volunteers from City First Church, and others who came out from the community to lend a hand. The previous playground was donated to KATW and will be finding a new home at an elementary school in Africa. City First Church would like to continue the community outreach with is by planting a church in the area soon.
