The Kids Around the World warehouse crew had the privilege of traveling to West Des Moines, Iowa to partner with Valley Church. Valley Church contributed Valley Community Center to the local community as a place for outreach. Their facilities and the work they do there, developing relationships, empowering people and making disciples, is an expression of the greatest commandments; to love God and love our neighbor.  There are basketball courts inside, a meeting area, community gardens, and now a handicap accessible playground to top it all off. Valley Church also has a vibrant Special Needs Ministry, some of which takes place at the Community Center. This playground will provide play for the whole community. The playground that Kids Around the World was able to help install there will give the children with special needs a totally accessible play area that they can enjoy and reap the benefits of play. The Kids Around the World staff was blessed with a number of great local and church volunteers for this build.
