The Alabaster Project began in 1999 by a man named King. In this northern region of Ghana, it is estimated that 95% are Muslims. While the emphasis is on discipleship and evangelism, King realized early on that the best way to reach them was by impacting their lives through compassionate care. King does this acts of service, caring for widows, orphans and those with special needs, in addition to running a dental and eye clinic next to the playgrounds. If that is not enough he has a future international school under construction. These children will enjoy the blessing of their own playground!
