Congratulations to Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Yakima, Washington for packing 50,000 OneMeals! Yakima is located in central Washington and is a productive agricultural region noted for apples, cherries, wine, and hop production. These were all included during the preparations for the State Fair which happened to take place around the same time as the OneMeal packing event. Despite many things to do from the opening day of the State Fair to the big street parade there was still a 100 volunteers who made the time to pack meals on a Saturday morning. Since 2009, together with their local community, Mount Olive has raised funds and packed over 1/2 million meals for Children of the Nations centers located in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Malawi, Sierre Leone, and Uganda.
