With very little land to work with, but tons of kids to bless the team got busy as quick as possible building the playground as soon as they arrived. Things were looking good and they thought it would be finished in a single day…and then the rains started. Under the impression that the monsoon season had already ended, but it seems that no one told the clouds, because the rain came down in sheets. The holes for the playground quickly filled up, followed by the rest of the site and all of the grounds around it. It looked like flood conditions and the team started to worry about how much water might make it into the schoolhouse where they were sleeping in. As the sun came up in the morning, not a cloud could be seen and what followed felt like a miracle. A miniature army of local volunteers (both young and old) arrived to help bail out the water, complete the playground and ensure it could still be opened on time!
