This church has dynamic leadership and a body of followers that is as giving and service minded as they are diverse! One may think that an event that is large enough to pack an entire shipping container full of meals would be a tremendously grueling undertaking… Rise City Church proved otherwise! The church leadership including key point person, Jessica Valarezo, undertook the cause of generating and sending aid to the people of Peru who are under the care of Su Refugio ministry. The 272,000 meals that were packed, were packed during two regular service times (3 hours total) and the church had the sanctuary cleaned up and empty within an hour of the last meal being sealed! Seeing all types, shapes, and sizes from the elderly to the toddlers working on the production lines, to the mothers who had their infants in baby-slings cuddling while the moms stuffed vitamins into the meal bags, was beyond heartwarming. Way to go Rise City!
