During the trip, the team attended our partnering church’s service on Sunday. It was a great time to meet the local families and worship with them. After church, the team invited the refugees to the church for a bbq and a time of fellowship. During their time together, our team got to learn more about the refugees and share our story with them. One of our volunteers met a woman from a Muslim country and expressed interest in her story. After a long conversation, this Muslim woman wanted to receive the hope that our volunteer had in her heart and accepted Jesus at that event! It was a powerful moment where God was present and allowed our short term volunteer to have an eternal impact in the life of a former Muslim woman. We praise God for allowing our teams to impact others despite language and cultural barriers. With His help, we can overcome those barriers and be able to impact the hearts of others!
