On our first day a young lady arrived to speak with our team. She is a volunteer at the local crisis pregnancy center. She shared they were already noticing a positive difference taking place in the Las Flores community where a Kids Around the World team installed the first playground over the summer. The area around the park had been neglected and a rough crowd would hang around drinking alcohol. That has changed. Now there are mothers spending their time socializing with each other while at the park with their children. The playground has changed the atmosphere there in a very positive way.
