My name is Cynthia and I’m passionate about sports and physical activity but, most importantly, I am passionate about serving others with the love of Jesus Christ! Last year, I went on my first missions trip with Kids Around the World and built a playground in the country of Haiti. It was a life-changing experience and now I’m back for more! I’m preparing to build another playground, this time in Mexico at the end of December.

I can tell you from my first experience I’ll never look at a playground the same way ever again! It takes some muscle and teamwork to put it all together, but the wonderful volunteers and I weren’t short of tenacity or energy. When we finished, the children of Madame Luc’s Orphanage in Haiti had a playground to play on! We saw the joy on their faces and, most importantly, we offered the eternal love and hope that only a risen Savior can give.

Kids Around the World is a great organization to become involved in. Not only do they build playgrounds but they also donate food to various countries in need and teach kids God’s story through KIDStory clubs. Everyone can’t physically build a playground, but I believe we all can do something!
