IN 2009 we made a transition from shipping and building new playgrounds to refurbishing donated playgrounds, giving the playground another chance to bring play to children once again. Playgrounds are donated from playground manufacturers, playground installers, Parks & Recreation Directors, and school districts when they are set to be removed or replaced.  Back in 2009 our warehouse crew along with a few volunteers removed our first playground, Washington Park, from Downers Grove Park District in Illinois. The park district was redoing this playground and graciously donated it to Kids Around the World. The playground was reinstalled at Staling Park in Kyrgyzstan.

10+ years later we removed our 1000TH playground from Wauconda elementary school in Wauconda, Illinois. This beautiful playground is awaiting its forever home.

Over the years we have been blessed by partners and volunteers working side by side with our team in the heat, rain, and snow to remove these playgrounds. We are so thankful for everyone who has been involved in bringing play to children all over the world!
