Welcome to KIDStory In a Box
We are so grateful to be partnering with you in seeing children across the globe come to know and grow in their relationship with Jesus in a way that is a fun and engaging. It allows children to be active participants in the Bible Story and not just passive listeners.
No matter where you are in the world, there are universals common to all people no matter their location or age. You will see how things like: storytelling, belonging, music, games and the arts, are important to use. KIDStory allows children to encounter the love of Jesus through the telling of His Story and the working of the Holy Spirit.
KIDStory in a Box provides you with all the necessary tools to get you started in using this highly effective teaching strategy whether you are using it at home, church or creating a StoryClub in your community.
What’s in the Box?
KIDStory in a Box is a self-guided course that includes a workshop notebook, 10 easy to follow instructional videos and 6 Bible Story lessons to get you started. The videos are designed to be experiential, not just someone talking at you. There will be times we ask you to stop the video and practice what you are learning. Examples will be shown where children and workshop participants are implementing the lesson. The videos are short, fun and practical. All 10 videos take less than 80 minutes to watch.
Utilizing KIDStory in a Box has some simple steps to follow:
1. Workshop Manual
Download the KIDStory Workshop Manual. It will provide you with the “why” and “what” behind KIDStory and will be referenced in the KIDStory training videos.
2. Training Videos
Watch the 10 training videos. They are short and experiential. You can watch them on your own, or even better, with your team. There are opportunities to stop the video and practice what has been shared with you. There are examples from across the globe on KIDStory in action.
3. Jesus Film Lessons 1-6
Download the first 6 Bible Lessons that have been created from the Jesus Film. If you currently don’t have a curriculum that you are using, these lessons are a good place to start.
When you have completed these, let us know. We will ask you to complete a simple survey and then seven more lessons will be sent to you once we have received it.
