Trip Overview
This will be our first Dominican Republic GenHope team trip! We would love for you to join us as we dive into our Generation Hope movement and build our first GenHope playground in the DR. Our GenHope trips are more than a playground build, this will be a full KATW experience with food, play, and story. We are serving alongside specific communities to build up and build into our Hope Zones. You will have the pleasure of serving with close friends and partners who have an incredible love for Christ and bringing the gospel to children.
Ministry Site Info
We will be serving with Roman and Aracelys Fermina, our GenHope Directors for the Dominican Republic. They will choose a local site for the playground to help bless kids in one of our strategic GenHope Communities, to help lift the Name of Jesus through the gift of Food, Play, and Stories from God’s Word.
Meet the Team Leader – Mike Young
Mike loves to serve others and enjoys leading teams to see their lives impacted through serving. “It’s such a joy to see the Lord work in the hearts of those who are willing to serve others. They return home changed in a really good way, and gain insight into how big and loving our God really is.” The extra blessing of seeing children gain hope, while being allowed to play and laugh, is something our team volunteers get to experience first-hand.

As you prepare and learn a little bit about the community/organization we’ll be serving, remember to go with a servant’s heart.
