Trip Overview
On this team trip we will be focusing on one of our Hope Zones in Ecuador. This will be a complete Generation Hope trip where volunteers will experience the full Kids Around the World mission of food, play, and story. We will be building our 4th GenHope playground at our Hope Zone where kids and communities can play, gather, and experience the love of Jesus. Join in and let’s build a Generation of Hope together!

We will be serving with Steve and Jacky Nine, Steve is our GenHope International Director, and he and Jacky are Directors of our GenHope Ecuador Team as well. They will choose a local site for the playground to help bless kids in one of our strategic GenHope Communities, to help lift the Name of Jesus to people in need of Play, Food and Stories from God’s Word.
Meet the Team Leader – Mike Young
Mike loves to serve others and enjoys leading teams to see their lives impacted through serving. “It’s such a joy to see the Lord work in the hearts of those who are willing to serve others. They return home changed in a really good way, and gain insight into how big and loving our God really is.” The extra blessing of seeing children gain hope, while being allowed to play and laugh, is something our team volunteers get to experience first-hand.

What one piece of advice would you give a first time volunteer?
As you prepare and learn a little bit about the community/organization we’ll be serving, remember to go with a servant’s heart.
